Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu has been appointed as the chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has given his approval.
Before being appointed by the federal government, Aliyu served as Jigawa State’s prosecutor and commissioner for justice.
In addition, Tinubu named Clifford Okwudiri Oparaodu as the commission’s secretary.
According to the press release, “The new leader of the ICPC has been selected for approval by the Nigerian Senate, adhering to the President’s approval of the outgoing Chairman’s demand to continue on pre-end of a tenure-track leave beginning on November 4, 2023, prior to the completion of his tenure on February 3, 2024.
