On the occasion of Eid el-Maulud, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, issued an appeal for world peace and unity on Wednesday.

Tuggar prayed for peace and stability in Nigeria, especially in the Economic Community of West African States and other troubled regions of the world, in a statement released by his spokeswoman, Alkasim Abdulkadir.

The Prophet Muhammad’s (Peace Be Upon Him) life serves as an incentive to be devout and kind, he remarked.

Tuggar pointed that the prophet’s attributes, such as his commitment to love and humility, are important in the modern society.

He hoped that by celebrating, the nation and the entire world would be at peace.
