Godwin Obaseki, the governor of Edo State, has expressed sympathy to the families of those killed in the gasoline tanker explosion at Koko Junction in Delta State.

The governor lamented the unfortunate tragedy in a statement late Sunday night, emphasizing that the lives lost were lamentable.

He remarked, “We are pained by the news of the gasoline container disaster in Delta State.

“We express our condolences to the administration and people of Delta State regarding the terrible occurrence. We feel sympathy for the victims’ families.

“Nigerians should stop trying to scoop gasoline whenever there is a tanker accident,” Obaseki pleaded. It is important to put safety first and report such situations to the relevant authorities.
