According to President Bola Tinubu, Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, lacks merit, substance, and good faith in his plea.

According to Tinubu, who claimed that Obi’s appeal was rejected by the election petition tribunal because it was based on claims, the presidential election was held peacefully nationwide and the results were meticulously and precisely recorded in the various EC8As.

This was stated in a statement provided by his principal attorney, Wole Olanipekun, SAN, in response to Obi’s appeal against the tribunal’s ruling.

The lower court, being a court of law promptly threw down their petition after thorough review of same, he said, adding that the entire petition was nothing but a sort of jamboree, which was prosecuted more in the media than in the courts.
When viewed in its entirety, is devoid of quality, substance, and good faith.

“The lower court, realizing that it is not a court of last resort, proceeded to decide the petition on its merits, while itemising several monumental failures of the petitioners to provide any evidence in support of their much-touted case,” Tinubu stated.
