At the 2023 Ballon d’Or award on Monday night, Nigerian singer Divine Ikubor, better known by his stage name Rema, gave an electrifying performance.

The audience of football stars were mesmerized by his breathtaking rendition of the hit song “Calm Down,” which he performed live.

Rema was the first African artist to perform at the esteemed Ballon d’Or awards, so his appearance was very significant.

The 23-year-old received an invitation to perform following Manchester City’s Club of the Season award. Erling Haaland and Vinicius Jr. were among the numerous football stars seated in the front row when Rema came off stage to shake hands.
