The state has started to execute a complete ban on street hawking, trading, and other associated activities throughout the state.

Tokunbo Wahab, Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources of the Lagos State Government, said this on Friday through his official Twitter account

Lagos State recently declared a ban on selling goods and other items on pathways as well as the construction of unauthorized constructions over drainage systems.

The state administration  has enacted a complete ban on hawking, street dealing, selling goods on sidewalks, and erecting unauthorized constructions on setbacks,” he added.

According to Wahab, the action was a component of the government’s redoubled efforts to promote a  healthier environment.
